Ableton Live Warping

Go through your digital tracks and choose the ones you would like us to warp for you.  We accept all forms of digital files except:

• i-Tunes protected (MP4) or any other formats with digital rights management protection (DRM)
• any tracks obtained illegally through peer to peer filesharing networks or other means
• any and all tracks you do not legally or morally have the right to obtain services on through our company
  
  

Consider the following when choosing your tracks:

Format conversion
As part of your order we will convert your files to one alternate format of of your choice for warping.    

• the format must be capable of being warped and played in your version of Ableton Live
• we will warp your tracks in that format,  and only that format
• warp markers are not transferable between other file formats for the same track

Warp marker limitations
Warp marker and other clip information are stored in files with a *.ASD extension.   ASD files will only attach to and work for the exact physical files the markers were set on. Once we warp your tracks in your format of choice,  we cannot transfer the markers to an additional or alternative format.  If you would like this done,  we will have to redo the job in the new format and charge you.

Format, file size, and transfer
Remember that there is a trade off between file size and audio quality.  The better the quality audio - in general – the larger file size. For orders with a large number of tracks,  formats like uncompressed WAV and AIF will make the job take much longer to transfer on line.

We have file upload and transfer service available to you for no charge -  however if the job is over 2GB in size – consider shipping it to us on burned DVD. There are times when the online transfer will take longer than it is worth. If we will be transferring 2GB or over online, please have a broadband connection available to you and allow enough time for the files to transfer back and forth.

Organize your files in whatever directory structure or order you would prefer on your hard drive - then compress the entire directory iincluding all subdirectories – into a compression format like ZIP,  RAR,  or SIT for transfer 

Important: *.ASD files can also be particular about always staying with the files they were warped with. There are time when the markers will mysteriously not show up if we transfer just the *.ASD files to you, without the exact physical files we created them for.

This means we would like to be able to transfer just the *.ASD files to you without the tracks you sent us (because you already have them on your hard drive) however as a rule we would rather send the entire batch of tracks to you including the ASD's. So be aware that we will be returning the entire package of ASDs and tracks to you on completion of your order

Choose your options:

Live Version – remember that warp markers for newer versions are not compatible with older versions!   ie Live 3 markers will work on Live 6.  Live 6 markers will not work in Live 5.  

Format Conversion – choose the format you would like us to convert your files to (if so) and warp the tracks in.   If no conversion is necessary,  choose the format you are uploading the files to us.   Remember: we warp to the version you specify

Warp Mode – preferred DJ formats are Beats, Complex, and Re pitch.  Choose the mode preference

Naming Scheme – give us the naming scheme you prefer.  This is important because this is the way your clip will show up in the browser.  If the name is too long or confusing it will be harder to find your tracks.

For most people this format: Artist-Title (mix) .. works just fine.  We also recommend that you have us remove extra information on the title such as 'Original Mix' and label information.  We can do this on request – simply give us a note in the box provided

Other Processing – tell us what your needs are

Problem Tracks – tell us if there are any tracks that you feel there might be a problem with.  Remember:  we are not responsible for defective tracks or fileshare tracks. We will refuse service on these items and charge you regardless (see policies.. )

After these instructions you will be taken to a form where you can upload to our servers free of charge.

We accept most major brands of credit and debit card.

We will receive notification of your order and contact you to confirm the order and touch base with you about your needs.   Feel free to also contact us additionally

Please assume up to a 3 day turnaround for your order on warping jobs. Try and get your job to us early.   Also please be clear that if there are time constraints on the job, let us know: we will do our best to accommodate you - however there are times when scheduling will not permit.
