Go through your records and choose the tracks you would like us to convert for you.  Remember:  our rates apply to each track you need done,  not the entire record.  So if you only need the B side of the record – or just the first cut on the A side - you will need to indicate that to us.  

As you are deciding which records you absolutely have to have done ..

• Sticker your record sleeve on the side of the record you need converted.  
  
• Write the side and track number on the label as well (ex. A/1 or B/1 + 2)

This is the most important way we use to keep track of what tracks you are paying to have done. If we do not have a track name list with notes - and cannot determine which track you need -  we will make an effort to contact you but if we cannot get a timely answer – we will not convert any tracks on that record without your permission

This is an opportunity for you to save $:

Take a few minutes to create an ordinary text (*.TXT) file,  and type the names of your tracks,  exactly the way you would like them to appear on the filename

ex:   Adam Beyer-Flamethrower 

You can include year of release,  label, anything you would like.  Be sure and do this accurately as we will copy / paste this information to name your tracks as we process your job

For for every track name we receive,  we will give you an additional track naming discount of  $0.15 for each track!!  (see details  ..). This is an easy job for you (because you know your records) and a timesaver for all of us (because we are not peering at the sleeves figuring it out)

Please note if there are any records with warps, skips,  or other damage and let us know in advance.   We use audiophile gear and cleaning systems to record your track - we aim to get your records recorded as clean and accurate as possible, and protect them along the way. In doing so:

We receive your records 'as-is'
We clean the side you indicate using the Nitty Gritty cleaning system - use fresh audiophile styli for recording – then immediately put them back in the sleeve for return

If a record is warped,  has extensive damage,  or skips we cannot compensate for  - we are not responsible.   Some records have long, hard histories and there is only so much we can do.

Post processing (see VTD Tier Levels) can address some skips, pops and the like.  However these are additional services for an additional charge,  and we will contact you about specific tracks if we think it could use some digital repair

Once you have your order ready to go we can proceed with pickup or delivery arrangements

Go through the order process and carefully indicate how many tracks you will need processed for each level of service.    You will need to let us know which tracks will get which levels of service.  

The ideal place to do this will be in the text file you may have created to name your tracks for us.  In that case simply group your tracks by tier level in the text file.   Otherwise you will need to contact us to let us know which are which

We will receive notification of your order and contact you to confirm the order and touch base with you about your needs.   Feel free to also contact us additionally

Please assume up to a two week turnaround for your order on VTD conversion jobs. Conversion jobs - especially large ones - can be a labor intensive, time consuming process and we need to be able to schedule it in.

Also if there are time constraints on the job, let us know: we will do our best to accommodate you - however there are times when scheduling will not permit

Your records are prized. We understand this. We work closely with our VTD customers to make sure we understand the details of individual records and how you would like them handled.
